  8. Installation:

  10. Extract the archive to a place of your choice, make an Unreal:
  11. assign to the Unreal directory.
  12.  
  13. Then configure the ircd.conf, template.network and
  14. unrealircd.conf files to suit your needs.
  15.  
  16. Use mkpasswd to create passwords for your O-lines..
  17.  
  18. If you use AmiTCP (NOT Genesis), ignore the following:

  20. Make an ETC: assign to a place of your choice, then make a
  21. file called resolv.conf there, and put in it the following
  22. (case sensitive):

  24. domain <isp domain name>
  25. nameserver <isp dns server ip>
  26.  
  27. For example:

  29. domain ihug.com.au
  30. nameserver 210.8.138.4
  31.  
  32. You can have as many nameserver entries as you like..

  37. Type in a shell/cli window the following:

  40. Run <>NIL: ircd
